Priya Sisters at Spring festival Bangalore

Another excellent concert by Priya sisters for the Bangalore Spring festival at Gayana Samaja

1. Emaguva Bodhi-Dhanyasi raga Varnam
2. Swaminatha Paripalaya-Swaras
3. Sara Saamadana-Swaras
4. Summane Dorakuvude-Poorvikalyani-Alapanai
5. Muruga Muzumadi- Saveri
6. Chintayamam-Alapanai, neraval at Aanandam,chidanandam,Sachidanandam and swaras at these places, infact wonderfull swaraprastaras.
7. Bindumalini RTP
8. Akativelala-Misrajog
9. Mandir kugandadu Murugan roopam-Sindhubharavi.

Wow! I have been waiting to hear their Bindumalini RTP for several years now and missed it this time as well. Also, was Sarasa sama dhana sung in the usual fast pace? (because, they generally never render ultra-fast speed krithis like Yochana, Ninnada, Pattividurvaradhu, etc., and even if they do, they slow the tempo down).

6. Chintayammam kandamulakandam - Bhairavi - Dikshitir [A, N ,S]
7. RTP in bindumalini
Pallavi: "Enduko nee krupa raadu bindumaalini maatalli"
ragamalika in Reetigowla, Hamsadhwani , Hindustani raaga[?]

Bhairavi alaap was top notch with nerval at Anandam chidaanandam satchidaanandam akhandasatchidaanandam....
As mentioned wonderful swaraprastaras...Hope more compositions of Mysore sadashiva rao are sung more frequently ...

Sarasasaamadana was sing in the usual fast pace..They do render fast pasted kritis..Priya Sisters infact saan Ninnada at their previous concert in bangalore for Samagana sabha in jan...Not to forget Vararaagalaya which they have sung at a few concerts...

That has to qualify as a bhasha-malika (Hindi-Tamil-Tamil-Sanskrit) :) - just feeling bored on a Saturday afternoon ...

Ah nice list! Long......time sice I have heard cintaya makanda. There is a beautiful rendition by doreswamy iyengar music today series
