Lakshmanji, my relatives who you know were there too and they enjoyed the concert very much. They claim 'peTra tAi' was at their request!!
At my request they recorded 30 second snippets of the beginning of each alapana and song with Whatsapp and sent them to me in real time. It was like listening to the 30 seconds snippet that Amazon provides for each song :) Given how great she sounded, I wished I was there. Closest she is coming to my area is South Bend and I hope to make it there.

I did see a couple of people running up to the stage with requests but did not recognize either of them. The malayamAruta songs and the behAg song are not heard very often. Even the dEvagAndAri song is a rare one on the concert stage.
Too bad concerts nowadays are not available to the general public to purchase.

Lji
Also too bad nowadays toronto which usually has close to 4 hours is reducing to 3 hours 10 mins. That extra 30 to 50 minutes would have resulted in a pallavi by Amrutha Venkatesh.Let toronto never lose the 4 hour status that I have witnessed in 2003 to 2013 in all reviews.

I am glad she is accompanied by Rajeev Mukund on violin and Arjun Ganesh on the mrdangam. They are big big stars . At times i see in overseas the accompanists are kind of forced upon the main artist and the quality suffers. Having these two atleast means she is having *recurrent quality* and also the right power /command for her overseas tour (I am virtually mentally drawing a line with senior musicians that she is aligning and also the umbrella organizers who are organizing).

God Bless these three lovely artists . Nice song list with an extra focus on thamizh - considering toronto.

VK,
Looking forward to your southbend review- assuming some one is ready with camera already.

For some reason, I was reminded of the incorrectly punctuated "Eats, shoots, and leaves"!
