Another fantastic concert of Ramakrishnan Murthy today in Coimbatore. Standing ovation end of the concert has become customary. I was away in Thanjavur and Srirangam doing temple hopping on 25th & 26th and this concert came as God send Gift. I rushed back to Coimbatore from Srirangam knowing about this concert. Yes both Rama I had darshan at Vaduvur and Thillai Vilagam, Krishnan at Mannargudi has gifted Ramakrishnan Murthy concert today
. Thodi Varnam was done neatly. Suryamurthe was full of Soukhyam. Kamas (seethapathe nAmanasuna) brought the best of neraval and Vittal Rangan showed his mettle too. Too many KVNsque sangatis. Kalyani alapana followed by Ambarame Thaneere was refreshing. Filler in Paras, triloka mAthA. Karaharapriya was main with brilliant alapana, chakkanI rAja was welcomed with a muted applause from the crowd. Arun Prakash is one Mridangist who plays deft and don't believe in high decibels. Young S Krishna in Ghatam was equally eloquent all along. KApi jAvali, Hamir Kalyani, tillana were post main. Waiting to hear him again here if things go well during Sri Rama Navami.
