Today's concert was probably the best that a devotee of TMK's music like me could ask for !! TMK's artistry combined with the good acoustics of Raga Sudha Hall simply elevated the concert to great heights. The dEvagAndhAri and bhairavi alapanas transported me into a different world altogether. Syama Sastri's bhairavi swarajati was rendered beautifully, ably embellished by the accompanists, especially by Sri Mannargudi Easwaran on the mridangam. Sri Easwaran played superbly for all the songs. The taniavartanam that he and Sri T.V. Vasan played was also a treat to the ears.

It looks like, TMK is experimenting too much. On going thru the above list, it is felt that W/o kalanA swarAs & w/o much raag alApanAs, the concert would not have been so much palatable. May be it was conducive to him that day. Hope, this does not attract other artists and he himself does not set a trend.
In fact, to my best of my knowledge, TVS started a trend of singing songs with alApana, neraval and do not take up kalpanA swara. May be to keep audience expecting the climax.
One more observation of TMK - bhOgeendra shAyINam is one of some songs that he repeats. (O ranga sAyee, Chakani rAja are falling in the list).
