Badri, you missed 6.5 that was the long Speeeeechhhhhhh and honoring of a half a dozen folks. I don't know if someone here can give feedback to RSM, but please, please - it is not necessary to have such a long speech and a longer honoring of folks. I am sure that many folks do contribute and donate and you can do honor them before or after the concert if the donors so wish. Thankful to Sanjay, that he didn't cut the pallavi. I am more thankful that none of the other guest speakers (don't want to take names, but everyone knows who they are) who talk for half an hour didn't take the podium. @RSachi - they announced one "Sachidandana Murthy" as a sponsor. Are you the same one Sir?
Sanjay as usual gave an excellent concert. Varadu was as usual splendid. I particularly enjoyed the Mukhari. One can hear lots of Nagaswaram phrases. Mridangam was a tad loud, khanjari was not heard much. The sound system is not the best - but the organization otherwise was very good. comfy chairs and numbered. Owing to my work situation, I will not be able to attend much this year

badari, most parts of your review in your blog are from this recent concert review of Dr. Pantula Rama including pallavi thalam, gender etc.

This concert reminded me of KVN not in the musical style but the content - haven't seen many musicians have Kalyani, Kambodhi, Mohanam, Thodi in a single concert with Mukhari to boot!

It was a very good concert.
It took long time for S M Krishna to walk to the dais and garland the artists and long list of sponsors.
One Welcome Addition to the facilities, are the mobile toilets on cemented floor, with proper lighting.

GG Sir,
I am a humble penniless rasika. I have exhausted my capacity after doing my extremely small bit. I am not that worthy gentleman. I have no Murthy to add to my 12 character name
I will not contribute to any commercial venture in the name of Rama Seva although I am grateful to them for arranging concerts I attended there >55 years ago.
I immensely enjoy the reports and inputs from people like yourself, Badari, ARVenky, KSSR, RanjaniMalavi.. THANK YOU

Looks like you have edited out most of the passages now.
Here is badari's forum mail :
" Hi Vagadeeshwari,
I did listen to PR concert on CTU website when it was streamed last week.Throughout the concert, I was drawing so much similarities to "What if Sanjay presents this kind of Concert?"
At the end I was delighted to read a review of the same on Rasikas.
My attempt to see Sanjay's concert yesterday was almost like what if PR sings the same concert. IMHO, Such parallels are drawn only when 2 top class intellectuals are contemporaries.
Imitation is a form of flattery, the wise would say. Thanks for making a note of your observation.
regards
Badari "

I read the review and certainly as you noted lot of phrases from badari had generous overlap from kedaram review of Pantula rama
Badari,
I wish you had retained the same review and not edited it . That is what it is now. Thank you for your review . Keep them coming without any future edits. You have great fun during next 2 weeks as there are lot of concerts in bangalore.

6.5 Long list of garlanding
I do not know whether people expect these honors for sponsoring the concerts.Though I contribute in my own humble way,I have never sponsored big ones like this.Definitely organizers should find a different way for honoring them.Even Sri S M Krishna looked to me as though reluctant to go to dais for garlanding the artists.
This becomes a comic interlude in the middle of a great concert.

It was indeed Kedaram's reviews that have inspired me to write reviews though I have not met kedaram personally. Apologies for not saying it in the first place when I wrote the review.rajeshnat wrote:Vagadeeshwari

I fascinated by the similarities in two intellectual singers. Indeed it was 11 when I reached home and it was that pristine music that kept me awake almost whole night. being jet-laggged in previous week due to CTU, had its toll on my sleep and review too.
My rest of the reply is already posted by vagadeeshwari.

Badari,
Let's say "imitation is the best form of admiration", and leave it at that adding, we would try to use quotes, state our intent and not be sleep deprived, if we can help it
All in all, two great concerts, rasikAs responding warmly to them, being submerged in the experience of them even after they were finished. Plus, being in a jet-lagged or sleepless state...nothing new there.
Changing the subject, in my not-so-learned view, the intellectual aspect in both cases is accompanied with a lot of aesthetics. To put it simply, such music moves the listener. In both cases, the artistes' involvement in the music they produce is what makes it happen, what makes the listeners (who are sans prejudice, open-minded) respond the way they do...
As Rajesh says, keep the reviews coming, Badari and others--Jayan, Chellappa, Bhagwan, G_G, Ranjanimalavi et al.
It's RAmA's time too, and ''May rAmA bless us all!" (as 'you know who would have said')--even now from heaven, I guess...

Agree with mahavishnu. Let's not make excuses for plagiarism here couching it in adages that we know do not apply in this context. It is wrong. Even the edited review shares 259 words, including many unique phrases and even sentence structures with just names interchanged, with kedharam's original review (http://www.copyscape.com/compare.php). And badari still does not cite his source in his website. Unacceptable.

@Bilahari,
Source of my review is my attendance at the concert. Period.
Rest of the topic is already discussed here.
Now that the review is discussed more than the concert itself, I don't think that review deserves to be on my page. I'm pulling it down. Hope all of you can put a rest to this topic.
Lets all be blessed by lord rAma.

Luckily, I have posted it in FB and would not be lost.
Another rasika also has posted a review in FB for those who may be interested.
