While whole of Bangalore travellled South to hear Sanjay I did travel westwards to listen to a lovely concert at Sri Vani Kala Kendra 25th year Sri Rama Navami Utsavam, Basweshvara Nagar. Vittal Rangan ruled all over with melodic bowing especially his kApi was fantastic. Malladi Brothers never disappoints and again they delivered a great concert.

All the alApanas were lovely and especially the sumadyuti (announced by Sriram Prasad) and the filter kApi by Ravikumar were top class. Vittal Rangan drew applause right from the first chord and there was lot of sabaash, bale from the Vocalists throughout. His kApi was splendid. Great bowing by this young boy.

Short and good tani from the Ravishankar & SNN.

PS : The concert started only at 7 not at 6.30 as the earlier one got extended and the customary speeches in the beginning and in the middle took away easily 2-3 krithis :-(
PPS : Good to see the organizers have covered the pandal and the backdrops stage is inspiring.

Vittal Rangan goes from strength to strength with every concert I see him... I was at sanjay and missed this one (too far too). Speech! Why do bangaloreans love to hear their own voices?
