Vijay Siva is something.... it's bengaluru's loss that he is not featured often

Last one year Vijaya Siva performed thrice in Bangalore.1) Kannikaparameswari temple,2)Bangalore Gayana Samaja(SRLK)
3)SRSM Fort Hs
SOME leading artists are not featured regularly-to name a few: OS Thyagarajan,Lalgudi Siblings,Seniors like TV Shankaranarayan,TN SEshagopalan.
Popular ones featured are RaGa Sisters, sanjay Subramanyam,Sudha Raghunathan,Bombay Jayashree and Malladi Bros,Mysore Bros
Generally most if the leading artists are featured at SRSM Fort,Vani School and Seshadripuram Ramotsava.
Bangalore Gayana Samaja,Nadasurabhi,SRLK Mandira,Indira Nagar Sangeetha Sabha have festivals for a week.Bangalore Gayana Samaja conducts Vadya Vaibhava for Instrumental music. But the audience response is very poor.
Other than these Ranjani Fine Arts,Vishesha Fine arts do conduct music programs.
Unnati conducts a long Gokhulastami Festival
Several others like RK Srikantan foundation,Hansadwani ,Jayarama Seva Mandali do conduct festivals.
Ananya and Purandara Bhavan at ISRO lay out,Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan conduct periodic music programs once in a month.

Badari,
Your (almost) one-man stint of covering one of the longest and oldest festivals of music this year is commendable. In Bengaluru traffic, and with distances which are not easy to even think about, you covered even more concerts! Ah, youth!

It wasn't as if you had nothing else to do :) Work, family, classes, other responsibilities...
Huge effort, big results--in that you shared so much of your musical experience with the rest of us.

We can pride ourselves in bringing reviews from many corners of the world here at Rasikas.org! Thanks to you all for sharing...:) You certainly covered a lot of ground, Badari. Still wondering how you did it...:)

Badari and generally with two friends used to cover leading concerts. It was a familiar sight to see Badari with his camera capturing memorable moments of concerts. The crowd followed the usual pattern being present in large numbers for very popular names and for certain Karnataka artists the number used to be less.Though people clamor outside that Karnataka artists do not get enough chances, but when chances were given crowd support was not there.
Charulatha Ramanujam had a lion's share of 7 concerts for violin support.
