I could understand it, but not to the extent that I can translate--a malayalam speaking rasikA can do a much better job. Loved the interview.
His coming from seven generations of musicians of Kollangode (he was born in Palakkad) was new to me. Ari's astute observations about pin pATTu (vocal support), his admiration for Musiri, his neravals--'no one to equal him', says neraval Narayanaswamy! His adoration of his guru, how he molded him and gave him the acumen to take the best from what he heard of other musicians--his affection and admiration for PM...
