Saketaraman commenced the concert with Chalakallaladu in Arabhi. Then he embarked on elaborate alapanas of Gowla, Ritigowla and Kedaragowla. After one round of elaborate alapanas of all the above ragams with violin interludes, he made a long journey through all the above ragams seamlessly gliding from one ragam to another which called for assiduous practice but was very interesting to listen to. The entire ragam segment took 30 minutes. This was followed by tanam in the above three ragams plus Mayamalavagowla. The neraval was very skilfully done in all the eight gowlanthya ragas viz, Gowla, Ritigowla, Kedaragowla, Mayamalavagowla, Kannadagowla, Narayanagowla, Chhayagowla and Poorvagowla and singing as Ritigowla ragamodini, Kedaragowla ragamodini etc. The Panchagati talam was conceived as in the Laghu, it was Tisram, Chatusram and Khanda gatis and in the Dhrutham, Misra and Sankeernagathi. Swaras were rendered in all the eight gowla ragas. Anulomam, Pratilomam rendered with precision and the korvai was breathtaking in all the four ragams. The entire exercise was simply astounding and Saketaraman deserves great appreciation for the skill in crafting such an intricate pallavi in the complex talam, homework, confidence and presenting the same in an enjoyable manner- not a dry affair devoid of aesthetics. The highly competent accompanists provided excellent support to take it to new heights. The large audience gave a much deserving standing ovation.

I just checked the website , for about 45 mintues the R T And P gets over and then sashikiran comes to the dias to announce the next concert. Looks the swaras are not aired.

IN this concert the tani was for 10 minutes. Regarding the incomplete webcast, I have requested Shashikiran about completing the same. He has assured that he will rectify that. I have also posted in the Events thread drawing the attention of usharc to rectify the same. Hope they will do it.
