Observations
------------------
1. Concert started in a rather subdued fashion. It took the first long kaarvai in the kedaragowla kriti for RKM's voice to really open out. With neraval and swaras in the opening song itself, the concert picked up pep quite well. The throw in his voice has really improved of late and he has kind of come out of the well
2. Asaveri alapana is quite rare and was handled very well. The kriti that followed was exquisite lyrically with a lot of swaraksharas, all brilliantly highlighted. My long trek to KGS was rewarded right here and the rest of the concert was bonus.
3. Mysore Srikant was his intense self and his kalyani had lot of different and original touches. Anatha R. Krishnan was quite subdued as far as sound level was concerned and was happy to let Trichy Murali share the driving. His talent did show brightly, especially in the second round of the thani.
4. The RTP was composed by R.K.Sriramkumar with the carefully concealed raga mudhra and great opportunity for swaraksharas which was fully utilized by his student.
5. RKM is becoming a rising star and with this dedication is sure to decorate the firmament of CM for a long time to come.
