Excellent fulfilling concert - with a very good balance of janaranjakam as well as scholarly aspect. shriranjani package was rendered with gay abandon without compromising on the aesthetics. A wonderful sensitive alapana by both vocal and violin. varALi was the pick interms of the imaginative and sensitive rAga potrayal as well as the kriti rendition. Neraval at a rather difficult line was done well. Swaras in brOvabhArama in breakneck sarvalaghu were an eye opener. The myriad permutations and combiantions in 1 Avartana was a real challenge. nilAmbari kriti - a very rare one was showcased masterfully by her.

Pallavi was treated with gauravam that it deserved with all the laya aspects thrown in non-challantly. Choice of rAgas for swaras also revealed the inquisitive mind of the team. All post main pieces were not 'tukkadas' and each of them were full of raga bhava and sahitya bhava. It is a testimony to the fact that even post main pieces can be [were sung earlier] sung with respect and sincerity they deserve and audience cannot be cited as a reason for lowering the standards of the same.

All in all a meaningful, serene, elevating Saturday evening. Thanks to Prashant and his family for bringing us this concert
