Sudha raghunathan,sanjay Subramanyam got SK after getting the Indira Sivasailam award.However TMK and Aruna Sairam are also recepients of thi saward,but not yet got SK from MA.
This award is given to eminent musicians below the age of 50 years.
There was an instance of RaGa sisters turning down one of the awards saying that there are old for the award.I do not know whether it is from Sangeeth Natak academy.

notable ommissions.ravi kiran.sowmya,vijaysiva.all these misicians are senior to the awardess.probably the crowd pulling abilities are more important.if they also included abhangs in their in their thukudas they might have got it..

simply because their music is not pure classical.
Before they sang with bhava but last few years their music has become audience oriented - fast paced, soul less. Carnatic music is not just about voice power and churning out rapidly innumerable sangatis

The Musicians who sing with bhava like O s Thyagarajan,Vijaya Siva etc are not featured frequently as they do not have great audience.
Among Instrumentalists the violin duet pair Lalgudi Siblings give importance to soulful and meditative play.But there are many who churn out fast paced sangathis and give importance to Instrument handling only.
