RKSK was fantastic in anticipation and வாங்கி வாசித்தல். JV's Mridangam tone sounded so balanced and pleasant. Overall, an excellent evening steeped in the classic carnatic tradition!

Few years back TRS mama video clipping was put with nearly the same pallavi line when I , crama and few more attended in Arkay hall for TRS mama anniversary day concert . I am assuming VIjay has taken the TRS mama pallavi and slightly changed minimally the line. or did i got it not fully right last time when I attended that TRS mama anniversary concert
TRS mama line was pAghai urugu nEnjE pankaja kannanai ninaindu

Rajesh: I thought I heard him pronounce "Urugum" (உருகும்) and I felt it sat well in the meter.

Looks like Gayathri V also sang as "Urugum" per above concert review.
But now that you mention TRS, I'm not so sure!

I took a photo of the artists at the start. Don't know how to post it here.
Sri. Vijay Siva had his student for back up vocal (Pramodh?) who sang few Swara passages. Chi. Pramodh and Kumari. Kruthi (HYMA) were the twin Thambura support.

@Sundara Rajan Sir: After I read your post, I researched "Arivar Yaar Unnai Arival.". It seems to have been sung in Bharavi as well as Mukhari. However, per DKP-DKJ school, it is Mukhari indeed, not Bhairavi, in this instance, and I stand corrected.
