Gandhi Jayanti on the other side of the moon.

Post by Rsachi »

I hope you will enjoy this as much as I did... Strange words, songs, sights, and an exquisite tribute to Gandhiji's memory at the very site where he breathed his last.

Lovely singing. Koushiki C is elegant, with a sweet voice and a firm grip on what she is singing. It was bliss. Thanks.

Sachi,
Thanks!

manda mAruta (a gentle breeze) of sweet music, a dwelling in SAnti and in BApu's times for nearly an hour.

Tranquil surroundings at the Gandhi Smriti in Nepal, not a whiff of politicking, not a trace of restlessness throughout. prEm mudita man se kahO rAm rAm rAm, vaishNava jan (god's children) who know the suffering of others, who help, think not of themselves and all the values which will serve us forever filled the air--though old-fashioned they may seem in these complicated times of ours.

Kaushiki, and the sweet music she made with her ensemble and the surroundings came as a balm in this restless world, at least for an hour...
