Lakshmi Priya sings very well. Sounds quite confident, accomplished and free flowing. Her Bhairavi is excellent. I will have to listen to the rest later. The accompanists are very good as well.

She keeps the talam for the bhairavi song like a 3 beat rupakam. I guess that is fine, it gives her more flexibility but this song seems to fit well with the royal right way of the six beat rupakam. In fact, to my ears it fits well in a structure of a 2 Kalai 4 + 2 with the arudhi like thud on 'm' of kandam falling on the beginning of the drutam, resulting in a 1/4 eduppu. I will check how others keep the talam for it.This is more for my own curiosity. Her singing of this song is excellent and very enjoyable. I listened to it a few times already.

I see that paridAnamichite is coming up next which is a favorite krithi for me, so something to look forward to for the next listen.

Yes! SRngAralahari was beautifully presented - I became re-enamoured with this kRti when my daughter learned it recently- did not realize how many subtle nuances were packed into the ciTTasvara passages. I learned from Keerthi that this was a favorite piece of the Mysuru court dancers - I can see why...

A small crib - with a voice that is so clear and the words easily discernible, there were some issues with the words in the nIlAmbari kRti

She sang it as SRta jana Suka kari - which doesn't make sense - Suka is a parrot - the dEvi does create all beings, parrots included, but why create parrots for those who seek her refuge?!! It should be SRta jana Subha kari, I believe.

I think it should be sangItAmbhOja and not sangItAmbOdha, because I do not think intoxicating nectar (mada mAdhuri) and intoxicated bees (mada madhukari) pertain to the imparting of music (bOdha) - a lotus (ambhOja) makes more sense.

Finally, should it be angajAri hRdayamgama dara hasitE and not hRdayAgama...OR will both work in this context?

Most of my information comes from the fabulous job that Rajani did (IIRC) translating this composition in the past.

More likely, it's sukhakari - she who makes those who rely on her happy. Easy(?) slip from sukha to Suka :?

Right - sukha, Suka - to-ma-to, to-may-to, right? Although in most versions I have heard (Sri Voleti's in particular), it is pronounced as Subhakari, IIRC.

+1 to that. I had thought that as non-chalant-been-there-be-here-for-quite-some-time confident singing :)

Also, I specifically didn't mention the R Hemalatha connection, but now the cat is out of the bag. IMO, the emphasis on lineage/paramparai in CM is a mite too much.
