The song mentions Lakshmi Subramanya; hence my guess it is his mother's or his own introducing himself through his parents. I also watched him sing another composition in Sunadavinodini (me thinks) that starts like "Ne Lakshmi Subrahmanya priya sutudu...Subrahmanya priya sishtudu" introducing himself through his parents and his Guru. That was his first full length concert posted on youtube some 3-4 years ago. Can't find that link now :(

Is this the concert in which he sang the Ponniah Pillai's Mayamalagowla kriti - mAya theertha swaroopini. What a beautiful concert that is, the raga alapana, the kriti rendition, nereval and the swarams still ring in my ears. And a special mention to accompaniment by Lalgudi Vijayalaskmi and Ramkumar - added sheen to the music. Over 55 mins of mayamalavagowla - yet to hear another such rendition !

Thanks, Varsha. Sincere appreciation for your sharing, as always. I still listen to the recording of Mayavaram Rajam teaching ragas and his Jyotiswarupini!
Please share the complete concert and more.

So Kalyana Vasantam retains the same character in Chittoor school what Hindolam does in Kanchipuram school?

The one with modern Hindola daivatam is a tune of everything is lost ( ellAm izhandatu pOlE)! This one is better. Anchors on RShabham than the wailing ga!

I think the artist is Sri Lokanadha Sarma. I think I have also seen it written as Lokanatha.

Dear Sri. CRama (and Varshaji),
I saw this request when listening to the same and here is the link to all three. The files are temporarily on my work folder, so kindly download in the next day or two so I can remove them. Hope Varshaji doesnt mind my sharing these ahead of him :)

Delayed two hours in a doc's waiting room, walked into his concert yesterday (Ragasudha Hall, Nadopasana, 14/10/16) quite some way into the main. Thought I'd walked into a different world, that, somehow a vintage recording had materialised around me. Wondered, actually, if this was not going to be too heavy-weight for me. That thought didn't last long... Wow.
