One of the concerts of GNB, the listing is as follows;

1. Hindolam Raga
2. RTP Shanmughapriya
3 Rammanam me teliya........ Deena Dayala.... ( Only what I can understand , may Not be correct)?
4 Slokam
5. Tapasya Kousalya....

The 3rd song is incomplete . can somebody identify the song?

Dear Sivachintaji: GN Sir also made famous another krithi in Suruti--Mariyada Theliyagane--
Whatever song he rendered--be it a heavy krithi like Arakimbhave(Thodi) or a light brisk piece like Varara Raga laya(chenchukambodhi--the 2 minute elaboration of the raga is a clinic for Vidyarthis as to how to handle rare ragas--no monotonous repetition --the accent on the Dha in this raga would be different from the Dha in the allied raga Malavi which he also handled with exemplary felicity.

It is more than 50 years since he passed away and I still get "goosebumps" when I listen to his kutcheris.

For old aficionados of GNB a challenge?

Try to locate the songs from the film Udayanan or Vasavadattai(Senthiru Vanaiyal Vasavadattai in Panthuvarali and the Kiranavali song Anandam en Solven). The late Nadaswaram Vidwan Thivudaimarudur Veerusamy Pillai used to say after hearing GNSir's 2 minute Kambodhi in a Viruttam in Sakunthalai, he used to go to see the Movie several times--so did TNR . does one need anymore praise from his peers!!!

No other movie songs of great GNB is traced till now. In 1957, 50th year of Tamil Cinema, Bhama Vijaym was screened. Still a hope on that?! Search Chennai....
