Later, RKM was in half a mind to announce that he was down with a cold past 3 days and so wanted to truncate the concert.

I don't like the raga Ranjani. But I told RKM later that he had come up with an out-of-the-box alapana. So +!

A pity, it was an RTP-less concert. No more throat trouble. Wishing Ramakrishnamurthy a great season!

I missed the concert - don't think weekdays are possible anymore for me. Am a fan of RKM and I feel his music is KVNesque. I sincerely hope that he pays attention to his voice. More often than not it is strained. It will be a shame if his voice comes in the way of what is promising to be a purists delight.

I have to concur with your views and this is not the first even last year after 4 hours Mudra concert -one could see strained voice and unfortunately - most of the musicians including RKM - does not take adverse feed back lightly in social media.

That may be your assumption - each one has got different experience - in the last two years have attended more than 25-30 concerts throughout the year in Chennai. I just adore him - but that is different - I am telling from my experience

When he started Ini enna pechirukkithu in Sahana after the pallavi, the audience went into raptures. I have got the recording of the concert which I have heard many times.

I am not saying during Mudra Concert - subsequently two concerts also I have attended elsewhere and I know it personally. All these please understand we are saying as a well wisher only

Let us summarise:
1. As RKM's wellwishers, we are all quite concerned about his voice preservation.
2. Sometimes his voice has shown signs of wear and tear.
3. Some of us have expressed our concern to him.
4. At least some of us know that he himself is quite aware and has taken our feedback well.
