Hi Coolkarni, Chithra et al..

feels good to be here :)

My father has been looking for VV Sadagopan's glorious pieces, such as:

1. enthavetukonth - saraswati manohari
2. aatharamni - karaharapriya
3. kaana vendum laksham kangal - suratti
4. seer sirakkum meni - thirupugazh in senchuruti

he has been joking (he says he is not) that he doesnt want to leave this world without hearing them again.

Strange, he says that Sadapopan just walked off somewhere during his train journey from Delhi to Chennai and was never to be found again !!

Are these available commercially? also, it would be great if you can share any other recording of VVS too.

thanks in adv
Krishna

These songs are available in the 3 (or4?) cd release of VV Sadagopan by his trust. It includes some films songs, AIR recordings and 78rpm records. Interesting collection.

Well I would keep all sadagopan tracks as far away from him as possible, if I were in your position.
Best way to keep him in this world as long as possible...

CRama, one of the very active members of our forum has been asking me to help locating the VVS songs which he had heard several years ago as a boy. He must be excited to find them thro rasikas.

Thanks. After many decades, I enjoyed the Endavedukondu of VVS. By any chance the other 78 rpm records are available?

Oh, what a rendition of Enthavedukondu! Truly, giants walked on earth those days.
