Amrita Murali is presently a disciple of R.K.Sreeramkumar having trained earlier under K.R.Kedaranthan and T.Rukmini. I have come to appreciate the musical values, presentation and quality of Amritha Murali's music only recently. She is endowed with a melodious and sonorous voice and shows much sincerity in her presentation. It was a neat, well packaged, flawless concert. There was overall 'Sowkyam' in her concert. The tempo was well balanced. Be it raga, kriti, neraval or swaram, bhavam reigned supreme. The melody, songs presented, manodharmam, poise and voice control were commendable. The alapanas of Begada and Keeravani were elaborate bringing out the micro tones of the ragams very clearly and Thyagarajaya Namaste was a good selection for the main song. It carries the weight required for a main song. The neravals at Manasuna neeke marulukonnanura for Raghuvara and at Yogeeswara manasa samyuta paripalitaya- an unusual place for Thyagarajaya Namaste and the following kalpana swaras provided ample illustration of her abundant manodharmam. The kritis were rendered In the authentic kalapramanam. Enraikku siva kripai was notable for the bhavam conveyed by the composer. The RTP was presented with imagination, laya control and finesse. Ragamalika swaras were in Behag and Brindavanasaranga.

The accompanists did their bit very well and embellished the concert significantly.

She is a good violinist accompanying Vijaya Siva frequently.She has a methodical and unhurried approach.She has taken good points of Vocal aspects of Sri Vijaya Siva.
