Another beautiful concert from Aiswarya, the Great Grand daughter of M.SSubbalakshmi. The concert commenced at 11.30 A.M with the sprightly rendered Abhogi varnam in two speeds followed by the composition of Annamacharya in Natai. Aiswarya rendered two ragams- Lalitha and Hemavati, both very elaborately. Her voice was in fine shape and she could negotiate all the razor sharp sangatis with consummate ease. The inital phrase itself established the ragams and avoided any ambiguity whatsoever. Nannu brovu Lalitha and Kamlamba naa in Kanada of Garbhapurivasar-- I have never heard from MSS. It is much appreciable that Aiswarya includes songs outside MS repertoire also in her concerts and presents them with precision and bhavam in tact. Sree Kanthimatim- it is MSS staple. Neraval at suka sounakadi and the following elaborate swaras in two kalams revealed her imagination and laya control. All the songs were rendered with polish and abundant manodharmam. Kattinile varum geetham was a request from the audience. The audience including many students, teachers and rasikas from the vicinity enjoyed with rapt attention and encourage Aiswarya with loud applause.
Shradha Ravindran on the violin and the percussion team played with anticipation and very much enjoyed each other’s music. An excellent concert for nearly two hours.

Nice to know that Aishwarya is doing full justice to the MS centenary year giving many well-received concerts.
