Amrutha Venkatesh presented a 3 hour concert for Charsur at NGS mini. It was part of the "Thyagaraja 250" thematic series and featured only Thyagaraja compositions.

Observations
------------------
1. 3 hour concert without RTP and the help of an extra thani is quite a challenge. Amrutha rose to the occasion and was able to sustain her stamina and the interest of the audience phenomenally well.

2. We don't usually hear alapanas of Jingala or Vardhani. Last time was 2 years ago when Abhishek sang the thematic "Thyaga ragas". They served as a special tribute.

3. The main in saveri is not a commonly heard kriti. It was sung expansively

4. Accompaniment was superb all around.

5. She announced the specialty of the songs, such as Lalgudi/Kovur pancharatnam, Nowka charitram, Prahlada Bhakthi Vijayam etc.
