SKB Memorial-eAmbalam Concerts 2016

This event will be held on 25 December 2016 at eAmbalam auditorium in Kalakshetra Colony.
The program is coming together and we have lined up two brilliant carnatic music artistes (vocal and instrumental) and an excellent young hindustani music vocalist.
Details will be posted as soon as I finalize the accompanying artistes. Sorry for the suspense.

Fantastic to see Vishruti's name - congratulations to Smt. Gayathri Girish, her guru, and best wishes to the young vidushi. I had the privilege of listening to her a few year ago, when she sang hiraNmayIm lakshmIm beautifully one Friday afternoon - with her mother's perfect enunciation to boot.

I am really looking forward to this year's series. The venue and it ambience somehow produces amazing music and hope this will be the same this year.
Indeed, we are all excited about Vishruthi's concert. I have heard her sing a beautiful Mayamalavagowla as well as a bhajan.
Also lookout for Achintya Prahalad, a PhD student in Neuroscience in Germany and also a trained HM singer. There are some beautiful pieces in youtube.
We will miss you arasi madam.

This event was fantastic and thanks to all. It was very well attended, (including by Nick H who attended the first part). Great concerts by Swarna Rethas, Vishruthi Girish, Achinthya Prahalad, and Sikkil Mala Chandrasekhar, also a book release by K. Venkatraman.

Nice to hear kamalamba- Mohan , You are doing a great service . I could not make it at all as i was out of town for 5 days. Your appa had love for HM too and you including that is great too. I am particularly interested in knowing what vishruthi girish sang? At your leisure no hurry

All concerts were very nice and Vishruthi held her own amongst seniors with an excellent concert.
As I type I am listening to her Deva Deva Kalayamite, which was preceded by a TNS and GG-like Mmargazhi thingal in Nattai.

If someone can tell me how to upload the mp3 onto rasikas.org, I am happy to put these up.
