Concert of the Season- Dec 2016 - Abhishek- Mysore Nagaraj- UKS- Sunderkumar - Parthasarathi Swami Sabha -26th Dec

Now that the Dec 16 season is coming to a close, It's time for me to reflect on all the concerts attended:

I am surprised there is no review of Abhishek this season in this forum. This concert, in particular, was a cracker with a full house concert with audience flowing outside the auditorium with CCTVs placed outside the auditorium. It was a brilliant concert by Abhishek with his guru PSN being present in the audience. It was a 3hr-15 mins concert and it ended with PSN emotionally speaking at the end of the concert - blessing Abhishek and extoling UKS that he must play like this for the next 50 years! The rapport between team was to be seen as it sent the audience in raptures. Abhishek and UKS were seen appreciating each other.

UKS was at his best with some brilliant accompaniment to the kritis and it was vintage UKS at his best. I presume Abhishek song selection must have motivated UKS to play like his older/younger days for vidwans of the past. Mysore Nagaraj was at his tempered best. UKS-Sundar Kumar combo was good.

Abhishek stamped his quality with UKS being around and reinforced that he is the emerging superstar and is a artiste who will his leave a mark in the annals of Carnatic Music.

It was indeed moving to see UKS accompanying his peer & legendary vidwan's Palghat Raghu's grandson - Abhishek with such vigor and energy at this age - 82 years. The standing ovation that was received after the concert was truly moving and it sent me back mesmerized and as a concert to remember in my life.

Would love to hear the review of the complete song list and Abhishek's singing from others who were there present or attended this concert.

Yes it was enjoyable concert which I have attended but I felt he was bit stretching bit too much and going for 2nd thani and all . The list as far as I know
