Nice presentation.
https://youtu.be/nEnFpve_RcU?t=823 - arumarundoru - needs to be in tiSra naDai Adi, with repeat invocations of half avarta adjusted to be thrice to fit it. Will feel much more fitting and capture the flow of the song more nicely. The anAgata eDuppus will give a better feel too! When Avarta lengths fit - vidvans should give this a try before doing rUpakam! I think Vijay Siva uses tiSra naDai Adi.
I also wish he reduces the clapping when doing a flourish before he lands to a samam point and makes tAla markers more subtle than he does currently - will exhibit his confidence better.
ennErarmum oru kAlai tUkki had it's debut with Sanjay @ tamizhisai with a then vervy KAP
By the time it reached Cleveland - ( this was before I had heard the tamzhisai recording ) - it sagged with stretches and pulls. Two of us walked up to Sanjay asked him why he selected a tamizh song for a main - and he was very upset and angry to hear that question
Tuned by Sri KSK @ Annamalai - many of these songs need more work with vowel elongations to make music sound more filled - with verve intact.
Back to this performance : KBMK brings his layam strengths to take a fresh look at this potential heavy weighter in Tamizh. A svara prastara at various points in ennEramum could make it interesting to many in the audience who can no longer listen to koluva maragatha ( not saying this one is a same pattern as that - but layam is similar 3/4th take off).
A try could also be made to compact this song into a bit racier rendition closer to the 78 RPM days - as it is full of double consonants! That may allow a bit of vowel elongations to fill voids without a feel of artificial stretchy fills.
