Every year in ragasudha hall, there is a violin solo festival during Feb titled Sangitakalanidhi Marungapuri Gopalakrishna Iyer Violin Festival
This year it is 20th to 23rd Feb 2017.We have 20th to 23rd VV Ravi, RKSK,VIttal/Padma and BU ganesh prasad respectively.

I think other than those few violin solo that happens with Academy,SKGS etc in dec season (few drops) and few drops in bangalore and mumbai in general ,the violinist have to come to US to play violin concerts. All violinist have to be truly non - non violinist to perform solo .
