Sureshvv,
Thanks. Ranjani Hebbar's sweet music is being perpetuated in these two young aspirants in CM. Listening to the tODi alApana now. The best to them.

Dr.Rajagopalan's endowment is endearing. It was moving to hear Ranjani's father speak and also Ravikiran who is also helping in training the girls. Though short her life, Ranjani lives on in music.

The best to Archana and Samanvi...

Although I didn't listen to the entire concert, I was very impressed by this duo. While I feel there is a marked lack of individuality in their singing (a stamp that it is their singing), I feel that, with a steady career progression, they will blossom into erudite, thinking musicians who can also appeal to the galleries!

Kudos to the late Ranjani Hebbar and the current Ravikiran for moulding such wonderful singers!!

Thoroughly enjoyable concert. Their confidence at such young age is remarkable, sounded as though like
seasoned singers. There is lot of saukhyam too, I wish they continue in the same style as they progress.
God bless and wish them all success in their musical journey.
Its so heartening to know that the parents of late Ranjani Hebbar groomed the duo singers. Hats off to them
for their genuine interest at heart for classical music.

A few weeks back, out of the blue, I remembered Ranjani Hebbar. Interestingly it was in the context of how even those very few who had been in the public eye seem to go out of the mind of most people after a while. That was definitely a sombre and sad thought but when I saw this thread title, it was so refreshing and a sense of optimism returned. Now I have a better appreciation for why we conduct such memorial concerts. Kudos to the organizers, students and parents who put this together which keeps her memory alive.

VK,

I know what you mean.

Thanks to YouTube, I have been repeatedly listening to these songs over the past year or two, even prompting my children to ask me "why do you keep listening to the same songs?"
