It was a very enjoyable and educative concert. I liked the choice of ragams, and the grip on layam all through. Somewhere after the
Begada song /alapanai, Sriram Parasuram introduced the co-artistes on stage and thanked them for their support.
He explained that he conceived of a ragam with SRGPNS, SNPGRS scale under the Vagadheeshwari melakarta. Since, he could not find
any existing ragam with this scale, he had named it as Ragadheeshwari. I believe that a recording of this concert would be available on Youtube.

I have not seen a two raga RTP with a janya coupled with its own parent melakartha . I am not sure how that would be without adequate contrast when there is rAgadeeshwari and vAgadeeshwari. Possibly I have to hear the recording to firm up my hunch on the overlap. Kudos to sriram on ragadeeshwari.

I have the same doubt as rajeshnat about the dviraga pallavi.its raining vagadheeswari in arkay.i heard pantula rama's exquisite vagadheeswari sung a couple of days back in the same venue as main in you tube.
But I just hummed ragadheeswari.interesting.
