Observations
------------------
0. Got to listen to this concert with vasanthakokilam which made it memorable in itself
1. Sandeep has developed the talent to vary the energy level constantly in his presentation. Good to see him evolving.
2. Sarasa sama dana started in a very mellow fashion. I was happily surprised and was ready to settle in
3. Swaras started at hitamu and after a couple of hitamaana rounds, he took off
4. Lots of applause from the audience for 2 rounds of swaras and for the violinist also
5. Theril erinaan brought some mellowness back. Very nicely done.
6. Natakapriya was the pick of the day. He was able to recreate its unique aura without making it a glue-on of the more familiar ragas. Eschewed the kampita gamaka, focused on ni and ri - was a textbook performance.
7. Taking up Thanjavur Sankara Iyer kriti with an elaborate neraval and swaras put him firmly in the top most league of musicians
8. Shankarabharanam raga alapana & tanam were nicely done. Patri showed off his nadam. But having both BSK and Patri can be an assault on our ears. Both are raucous and aggressive,
9. Could not get into the pallavi very much - it was quite disorienting. The tala and the syllables did not seem to sync up.
10. vk mentioned something about syncopation, I politely nodded, but it went over my head.
11. It was a long thani after the pallavi

There was also a Grahabedham to Suddha Danyasi when singing Shankarabharanam. Another indication that he is making his own path. I could also notice some TNS & Suryaprakash infuences.
