varALi nIvanti daivamu gAnanu n@tEjonmaya srIjAnakIsa dInudaina nannu brOva bAramA. Thought that is a great line for nereval and he took it up indeed. viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4860

lalithA a breathtaking stretch of speedy brigA sangathi that preserved lalithA intact and SV added so much lustre to VSs shine. Goes soaring up smooth and lalithA is dancing asking, what next, pleased to obey, o wise one! And comes all the way down to mandhra sthAyi to wrap up. SV executes a sa ri ri ga ga ma kind of phrase in his repartee that is soooooo good.

and SS master piece nannu brOvu follows

IFAS - acoustics in Ethiraj isn't very good. But VS transcends that anyways.

I too hope to catch RV on 25th.

Yeah heard about the acoustics. Am coming from Blr tomorrow through Thursday. That’s the only overlap with VS other than the RV evening. Wish more Sabhas featured him

Per schedule @ https://www.nvijaysiva.com/usa-tour-2016 25th programme of VS is at 4:30. So you can catch about 1:30 of VS and come for full RV easily

That was quick, sankark. Thanks for the review.

I finally got to attend Vijay Siva. What a concert! Pure bliss. Some new kritis for me, girijayA ajayA was an intricate and beautiful composition (I presume Dikshitar?). Wonder why it is not that popular. Excellent accompanying by SV and NCB.

Yes, the krithi is part of the Abhayamba Vibhakthi group of krithis by Sri Deekshithar.

This Season, I have seen a few more krithis from this group being sung by various artists. For instance, Smt Vedavalli sang Dakshayani Abhayambike in her Music Academy concert.

She also sang the Kannadagowla song from the Neelothpalamba Vibhakthi group of krithis, which are rarer than the Abayamba Vibhakthi krithis.
