I have not heard these Annamacharya compositions. Have the sisters tuned these?

I missed the fact of its being a thematic concert on just Annamacharya and OVK. Sorry.

But I focused on Gudiya Sambhrama, a govt. assisted public open air concert format for the benefit of people beyond the usual concert regulars, in a temple ambiance. The temples provide their quadrangle to the organisers to put up their set-up and stage. The audience walk into the temple, and spend a while listening to the music.
Invariably, such a concert, especially a Carnatic concert, would feature at least a couple of Kannada songs.

Bhujangini tuned by shri nedanuri Krishnamurthy .. No idea about shudda Sarang ragam n malayamarutham.

The Theme was Bhagavatham ,
And the organizers had requested them to choose any 2 composers and sing their compositions on Lord Krishna.
Hence they chose Annamacharya and Othukadu Venkata Kavi

Apt choices - only other option could have been Dikshitar (quiet popular) or Jayadeva (could turn boring if more than 1ashtapadi in same concert)

There are a very large number of compositions on Krishna and Narayana (theme of Bhagavata) by Kannada composers.

Swathi Thirunal would be in my estimate one of the foremost composers who have covered almost the entire Bhagavatam through their works. I place his works above other Samskrita composers'.

However, Annamacharya and OVK are also great choices. So hats off to the Sisters.
