AFAIK it is in sanskrit:
The entire lyrics are at http://www.karnatik.com/c1130.shtml
SrI CAmuNDESwari = the patron goddess of Mysore (a form of durgA)
pAlaya = protect
mAm = me
kripAkari = compassionate one
SankarI = consort of Sankara (pArvatI)
(A)Srita = (seek) refuge
jana = people (those who have)
pAlini = protector (of)
mahAbalAdri = the mountain mahAbala
vAsini = resident of
mahiSAsura = the demon who took the form of a buffalo (mahiSa)
mardini = slayer (of)

SrI cAmuNDESwarI, please protect me, Oh compassionate SankarI.
(You are) the resident of the mount mahAbala, the slayer of mahiSAsura, the ever compassionate protector of those that seek refuge in you.

mahAbalAdri -> is the hill in Mysore on which the shrine of ChamunDi is located better known as 'chAmunDi beTTa' ; Or in Mysorean's vocabulary, just 'beTTa'- "the hill"

My two cents:
cAmuNDEShvari = dEvi so called as she routed two wicked demons, caNDa and muNDa (refer: dEvI mAhAtmyam)
