Anyway, thanks to all the artistes and organisers for putting up a wonderful event with lots of lovely music. I will just write about the 2 evening slots on Sat and Sun which were stand outs for me. TMK took us on a soulful journey in his own style with the song list all jumbled up, the accompanists sitting in not the usual order and everyone (including TMK himself, I suppose) not knowing where we were headed. But that magical voice which traversed 3 octaves from the absolute lowest Shadjam to the absolute highest Shadjam without a tremor was goosebump material as well as many phrases and pauses. Lets just say it was an evening celebrating Music.
Now Sanjay took us on a traditional journey. Brova bArama with his signature KS and an absolutely magnificient Shankarabaranam had 'Master Class' stamped all the way. But the Melakarta Ragamalika by MD 'Pranatharthi hara' is the one I am here for. I have heard an old recording of MS sing all 72 ragas. Sanjay covered 2 chakras at SMF. He probably owes it to the CM fraternity to put out a recording of the full composition.
