KAPI is such a soulful ragam, though it has many flavours, all of them equally moving. The best among them are Thyagaraja's 'intha sowkyamu' and 'vaishnavajanatho. by MS ( 1947). The OP i am sure is a very serious learner and Sril.Lakshmanan has tried his best to give suitable information with seriousness befitting of an erudite forum. All the subsequent posts are unfit for this serious thread and the moderator is requested to shift the things to lounge.

That was probably set to music by 'Piano Vaidyanathan'. in Reagam Kafi. Definite.

The ragam information given by the uploader is definitely wrong. It certainly is Kapi and not Kamaj. . Some of the reference songs for me in this ragam are...poonkuyil koovum solaiyil oruNaaL by DKP 2)the last stanza of MS classic ragamalika 'madanthaazhum nenjatthu ' in vadavaraiyai . 3) muraLi mohana ..in Meera film. 4) baratha desamathin narrmaniyin in Ramarajyam 1947 AVM and ofcourse the incomparable intha sowkyamu Thyagaraja krithi.
