This is the first verse of Raghuvamsham by Mahakavi Kalidasa.

Meaning :-
"For the correct grasping of words and their sense, I bow to pArvati and paramEshvara who are the parents of the universe and are connected together like words and their meaning."

The last portion of the slokam "Vandhe PArvati Pa Rameshvaru" is missing in the link... can u advice on the meaning for that line alone pl... Thanks

vandE = salutations to, I worship, I bow down to
pArvati and paramESvara (who are as inseparable as a word and its meaning etc.)
That was the original meaning, but in salangai oli, they created yet another meaning by resplitting the last two words to pArvatipa ramESvarau. The meaning now changes to Siva (pArvatipa = husband of pArvati) and vishNu (ramESvar = Lord of ramA/lakshmi).
