I have listed the songs from memory, as no one else has reported. The order may be wrong, as I did not make any notes. There was quite a good crowd and I am hoping others will add. First Edition comes out with good recordings later on, so I am happy that this concert will be available somewhere or other.
Sparkling music, with voice gaining in strength after the first couple of songs.
Sahana song and ragam were excellent. First time I am hearing this masterpiece. Madhyamavati ragam was scintillating, Ramnad Krishnan style, but with AM's free flowing originality. Evaricirira was just superb and sung at a brisk pace. Is there any other song (aside from Endaro Mahanubhavulu, that is), which has this beginning, on the second beat of standard Adi talam? The two Diksitar songs were trademark T.Brinda style renderings.
Tempo sagged just a little in the Kalyani song and neraval, but overall excellent concert throughout. First time Gouri ragam/song for me (apart from the stanza in Sri Viswanatham Bhajeham). Brooding Goulipantu like raga with quite a distinct feel to it.
Suswaram.
RKSK was attentively supportive. KAP and Guruprasad were good, too.
