[2] the meaning of the epithet guhA is supposed to represent the fact the murugA pervades the deep caverns of our consciousness (guha = cave)
[3] Aramudu – amudu is nectar/ambrosia…the prefix of ArA/Ar indicates that although exceedingly sweet, this nectar is not cloying and doesn’t induce satiety…one wants to keep consuming it – hence, vishNu’s name as ArAvamudan…
[4] AvinankuDi as I understand is at the foot of pazhani malai
[5] pATTi = avvaiyAr
