Akkarai Subhalakshmi on the violin and NC Bharadwaj on the mridangam
Song list:
1. Karunanidhiye Taye - Bauli
2. Pahi Parvatanandini - Arabhi
3. Siva Siva Siva bho - Nadanamakriya(?). A small viruttam preceded this.
4. Sri Mathurapuri - Bilahari (Main with Tani)
5. Kamalamba Samrakshatu - Anandabhairavi
6. Jalandhara supitasthite- Valaji
7. Kaave kanyakumari - Sahana (Dr BMK's composition)
8. Bhavani Dayani - Sindhubhairavi (On Anantha Krishnan's request; he was in the audience too

9. Patiki haratire - Surati
10. Nee nama rupamulaku - Mangalam
No superlative can enough describe the bilahari! Every piece was in detail (with exception to of course the mangalam and the one preceding it) and was dripping in Abhishek-esque music.
Akkarai Subhalakshmi was her usual awesome self. I was able to greet her after the concert and get a nice autograph to make the concert even more memorable. The mridangam artist, NC Bharadwaj, was extremely pleasing in his music. I've to be honest and admit that I don't understand the intricate details of laya and thus can only judge the aural aspects of the music and I opine that his accompanying has to be rated quite high. The best part of the concert, to me, is the fact that all artistes recognised that it was the team's concert, and not any particular individual's; thus avoiding any misplaced displays of mastery of their art.
This is my first post on this forum after lurking for a couple of years here
