what is MMU ? The Jaya TV Prog ? They are typically a 50 mins / 60 mins concert isnt it. Sri TVS list looks like a full fledged concert. However, a beautiful selection of kritis and the sankarabaranam would have been sparkling !

There are two Utsavs now:
MMU by Shubhasree T. It is 2hrs odd event and presented in some TV other than Jaya for about 40-45 min.
Margazhi Utsav by Jaya TV. Jaya TV used to present the entire concert (2hrs) in two sessions in Jaya TV.

I suppose the YT recordings are of the Jaya TV prog, guess only partial concert is made available.

which TV channel is presenting MMU this year and what is the schedule?

MMU - Margazhi Maha Utsavam is the brand of Maximum Media. Right from 2000, there has been only one MMU. To make a humble mention, it is the pioneer in conducting thematic presentations in December season and have a Q A session- a stand alone feature even till date. The ground event is 1 hr 45 mins concert and aired on TV as one hour (52 mins to be precise). Until 2014 we were having Jaya Tv as out TV partner. After that, we had moved out owing to reasons not disclosed. It has been on Star Vijay from then on. This year's MMU (officially #mmu2018) will be aired on STAR VIJAY HD/SD from 17 december onwards. The longer capsule will be on VIJAY SUPER 7 am to 8 am, daily, on all days of MARGAZHI. there is no telecast in the evenings. After the broadcast is over, we will make the episodes available digitally on our web platform. Details will come soon.
