Question regarding shrI satyanArAyaNam song

A rasika has asked me the following question:
In Sri Satyanarayanam - Sivapantuvarali - Dikshitar uses the phrase 'Vaisya Jathi Karanam'. Can you kindly enlighten me on the significance of this phrase? How is Lord Vishnu the cause of Vaisyajathi?
