i could find a few explanations for this song over the net like:
"Purandaradasa had a great sense of humor, pun, wordplay, etc. An example: Turukaru karedare uNabahudaNNa.. Here turukaru can stand for Turks or muslims or it can also stand for turu and karu meaning cattle while karedare has two distinct meanings – invite or yield milk."
also in the book:
(link of page referring to the meaning) https://archive.org/details/Purandarada ... /page/n107
what is the significance of using the word turukaru for cows which at the outset refers to Turks.
is the composer trying to give any message of social integration(samjavadi tattwa).
or trying to convey any philosophical idea(veda/vedantha vichara).

I won't go into the details but if at all Purandara Dasa did sing this song, it has to mean something very different from respecting and accepting the hospitality of Muslims. The Muslims whom he would have seen pulled down the Vijayanagara empire and committed many atrocities.

Thanks lakshman ji.
The meaning in the book looks like the literal translation.
And does not give any meaning for the pun in the composition.
I'm still unable to connect the dots.
Is there any hidden meaning (guda artha) that composer wants to convey ?
Also want to know which is right pronunciation in Kannada
Turu Karu ==> cow and calf
Or
Taru Karu ==> cow and calf

Thanks Sachi sir.
As I analyzed through the composition,
When one hears/reads the composition for the first time it may sound as turukaru (Turks)at the outset
But when we understand the depth, it goes as turu and Karu (cow and calf)
Hats off to dasa's language usage !!!

thanks @aaaaabbbbb for meanings.
just want to know, is this practice still in existence ?
"when rolled around the bun,the hair of the cow grants eternal sumangali status."
trying to interpret the last line, in continuation to previous post.
turukara nIra era koNDu namma dEva erakoNDa nIrella sanakAdigaLige
berake mADida haridAsarigella iravu mADida namma purandara viTTala
our God,poured the milk of the cow on himself,

*He brought it(milk) into existence/precence of haridAsas.*
