Take shubhapantuvaraLi. Sing it in madhyama shruti. Remove the P on the ascent. Keep N2 as the top note most of the time. Avoid the panchamam as often as possible on the descent as well, but do land on it occasionally. You get bhAnu dhanyAsi - an exceptionally pathos filled rAgA
