After an interval, I listened to GG. It was indeed a pleasant surprise (after a hectic season) that not only the content but also the tempo and the tonal quality were of high order and kept the audience attention focused in the concert throughout.
Sandehamu in Ramapriya and Sri Rajagopala in Saveri were the main items. GG has provided an unambiguous Ramapriya with lilting swara passages. Sri Rajgopala was not only scholarly but also could be said to be on her own style slightly different from her mentor. The same was amply reflected in her neraval passages, which any connoisseur would mull over a long time. The only disappointment was that she did not render RTP which audience was looking for.
