Hi there,
I am Snigdha, a carnatic musician and a Bharatanatyam dancer from Delhi. I recently heard Vidushi Suguna Purushottaman's concert on Jaya TV and heard this wonderful composition in praise of Tyagaraja swami which was in Tamil titled " kAvEri karayilE kaNDEnE tyAgarAja swAmiyai". If anyone has the lyrics for this composition, please forward them to me

Thanks, kmrasika-such a beautiful composition, and I guessed right that it was hers!Would she be kind enough to oblige with a recording of her rendering, if you know her? By the way, is charNam 3 in madhyama kAlam?

arasi, sorry for the late reply. Anyways, if I remember correctly, I think Smt. Suguna (which, by the way is a popular teacher) did render the last caraNam in madhyama kAlam. I believe her songs are released by her organization known as "Sunaadham" and were supposed to be available in stores in Chennai however I did not see any on my recent trip. Aside varNams, krithis rAgamAlikAs and padams, she has also composed wedding songs, of which Vani has released but is not available in stores.

With regards to the song, I think request to sangeethapriya posters may yield the clip(Chennaiites are very lucky as far as broadcast of CM programs through mass media). Also, I believe her daughter lives somewhere in CA and she may have the tapes as well.

I think(guessing) Kumuda. Saw it in one of the concert announcements of one of the bay area orgs a few years ago.
