It would be nice if there existed lots of audios where this gati would be explored to its full extent ( neraval , swara kalpana , cittaswaram , korvais , muktayis etc ... ) and not only for tukkadas and thanis .
There can be an overlapping with fast khaNDa cApu , but I think when a piece falls into this category ( either fast khaNDa cApu or slow khaNDa gati ) it does not have anymore this jumpy effect existing in bhajans , lok geeti and thani avartanams . .
A good example ( but too short , without the above mentioned elaborations ) is " nArAyaNA hari nArAyaNA " ( ... nAmangaL sholliDa nAvu tA krSNA ) in raga Ananda Bhairavi by N Mahadevan .

However , I have found a piece in chatushra Adi where the singer + violinist go into khanda gathi ( with heavy overlappings ) for a longer period of time during the swara kalpana . Hearing this gives appetite for a whole piece in such a fashion .
