Kotapalli Vandana, ‘s concert for Nadopasana on 4th Feb. was an enjoyable one.
Commencing with a Sri Raga Varnam, she went on with Ninnu Juchi (Sourashtram) ,Akhilandeswari (Dwijavanthi) Evara Madugudhura(Kalyani), Niravathi sugadha (Ravichandrika), Ninne Namminanu (Thodi) and concluded with Enna Thavam Seidhanai .
Endowed with a splendid sruthi aligned saarira, she made ample use of karvais in her raga elaborations of Kalyani and Thodi. Good pronunciation.of the sahityas and an impeccable sense of laya added to the value of the concert. With some more attention to the mode of raga development, she should make a mark in the days to come.
Srilakshmi Venkataramani provided good support. Thillaisthanam Suriyanarayanan embellished the concet with his impeccable play.

I have heard Ms. Vandana in TTD hall in Chennai last year and I am quite impressed. By the way she is the disciple of Smt. Manda Sudharani (Vizag).
