I just joined Rasikas formally. Beginning from June, I have added a Category “Carnatic Musings” in my blog
prabhusponder.com
I have started with Maha Ganapathim by Muthuswamy Dikshitar in Nattai. Pl find time to visit my blog.
I plan to post one composition every Monday. There will be the Sanskrit Verse, English Transliteration, Meaning of the Sanskrit words and the Tamil Translation for each song.
I am a Retired professional and a novice In Carnatic Music with only கேள்வி ஞானம் (knowledge through listening only), a beginner in Sanskrit and an absolute amateur in Tamil. Feel free to comment, offer criticism and suggestions. Thanks

and a few more.
Thamizh translation of the MD krithis will be a really wonderful contribution.
-------------
As there are more than 500 kritis, I suggest that reference can be given to the above blog pages and you can provide a Thamizh translation. of each song. You can aim to complete that work in one year. If possible, you can search for audio of the krithi renderings by famous musicians of the first six decades of 1990-1960 and give link.
Regards

Re: Tamil Translations for Sanskrit Compositions
Is it a good idea to give Tamil translations to Tamil songs? You may explain some typical words, but translation seems odd.
There are a lot of typing errors.
Words like 'sOmAskanda' are wrongly interpreted ' it is sa-umA-skanda.
Tamil usage like அணியோனே is wrong. It should be அணிவோனே.
Please have a transliteration scheme in place. There are many transliteration errors.
This is not to criticize you, but suggest improvements.
