Could someone help with the lyrics and meaning for the Varam of Lord Rama? This varam composed by Madurai R Muralidaran in Pantuvarali, Misra Ata. I'm attaching a link to the song. It would be a great help if you could provide the notation as well. Looking forward to your reply. Thanks in advance.

As the celestials (dEvargaL) sang (pADa) in the skies (vAnil), and showered (tUva) flower (pU) petals (maDal), rAma (rAghavan) lifted (Endi) his bow (villai), and let loose (eidananE) an arrow (ambu) so that (enRE) the heard (siram) of the evil (badhakan) rAvaNa would fall (vizhavENDum) to the ground (bhUmiyil). The gods (dEva) and sages (munivargaL) made (siedanarE) him wear (aNi) the crown (makutamadai) (of Ayodhya) on (adil) his head (siram) with (uDanE) love (anbu). (hanuman came) so that SrI rAma (rAman) may rule (ALa) his kingdom (arasu) with a lot (migavE) of strength (tiram), overflowing (perugavE) with moral virtue (aRam).

He leapt (tAvi) and ascended (ERinAn) into the skies (vAnil), and ran (ODinAn) around in (tanil) the southern (ten) city (nagar) of Lanka (ilankai) searching (tEDi) for Devi sItA (sItai tannai), (hanuman, the son of vAyu, the valorous vAnara, came) with agitation (padaRi) in his (tan) heart (uLLam).

(hanuman) beheld (kaNDananE) the awful (kaDum) funereal atmosphere (sitaiyai) that was causing the legendary (kAviya) heroine (nAyaki) to pine (vADiDum) in grief like (pOl) scattered (tUviya) flowers (mAmalar) that wither (tuvarNAr) [7]. She shone (oLirndanaLE) with the graceful form (oyilAi) of the sun (Adavan ena) in the midst (iDaiyinilE) of dense/dark/black (kAr) darkness (iruL). With the words (enRE) “What (enna) is this fear (bhayam), victory (jayam) is certain (uNDu)”, he offered (tandaE) courage (dhairiyam tanai), and uttering (uraittu) the incomparable (iNaiillA) sacred chant (mantiram), he sang (pADinAn) (rAmA’s) praise (nal pugazh), (and came to the Lord’s side) in haste (viraindAn).

At the time (nEramE) when the courage (vIram) given/uttered (kURiya) by the name (nAmam) called (ennum) rAm dissipated (nIviDum), the army (sEnai) of monkeys (vAnara) came together (kUDi) in large numbers (vaLamuDan), and searching (tEDi) for a way (vazhiyadu) (to Lanka) created (pODa) a bridge (aNai) across the ocean (kaDal). As the celestials (dEvargaL) sang (pADa) in the skies (vAnil), and showered (tUva) flower (pU) petals (maDal), rAma (rAghavan) lifted (Endi) his bow (villai), and let loose (eidananE) an arrow (ambu) so that (enRE) the heard (siram) of the evil (badhakan) rAvaNa would fall (vizhavENDum) to the ground (bhUmiyil). The gods (dEva) and sages (munivargaL) made (siedanarE) him wear (aNi) the crown (makutamadai) (of Ayodhya) on (adil) his head (siram) with (uDanE) love (anbu). (hanuman came) so that SrI rAma (rAman) may rule (ALa) his kingdom (arasu) with a lot (migavE) of strength (tiram), overflowing (perugavE) with moral virtue (aRam).
