Dear Rasikas
In the Dikshithar's krithi
Sri Balasubramanyaya in Bilahari -Misrachapu
Pallavi starts at samam
Anupallavi starts 4 after
Charanam
Different line starts at different points.
2 after, 4 after , samam
Is this common for certain Taalams ?
Please post other krithis that have such Taalam features.
P.s wanted to post this before. But posting now after seeing the krithis with many sangathis post!

For lOkAvana caturA:
The above makes sense if we see the setting of the madyama kAlA passages in anupallavi and caraNam, that have to connect back to the pallavi refrain. They cannot be paused or extended to reach 1/2 Akshara from samam.

In Anupallavi sAkEtAdhipa has 3 dIRghas to start with and even if can be done at 1/2 akshara, it would be incongruent. Also it is better to line up with how pallavi starts, as always. The rAgA speaks better with 3 dIRghas from samam each getting one full akshara. Plus if they want to refrain back since it is only one line of lower kAlA followed by madyama kala passage, it also helps to keep it samam.
The caraNam ( I am considering only the third for now
) can now go to it's natural 1/2 akshara as there are two lines in lower kAlA to refrain back to caraNam itself if needed. And after madyama kAlA passage, they can refrain back to pallavi which is at samam.

The krithi by Shri Tyagaraja, Chede Buddhi Maanura (Athana, Aditalam) is another composition of this type.
The Pallavi is an example of Ateetagraham, and the Anupallavi starts at samam.
