Any commentary on the philosophical import, lyrical beauty and other noteworthy features of the song would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

vizhaiya - seek, approach, desire
alolam - a kind of song (usually ascribed to Valli, which she sang as she guarded the millet field and chased away birds that came to eat the crop)
moolapporuḷum para mōnapporuḷum - metaphors for Ganesha and Muruga. The former means " the primordial substance (of the universe)" and latter is "the supreme object of mounam, i.e.wisdom beyond words"
onrāi - together
maraiyum - the Vedas too
neelam iḍarkkaiyum neḍuvarai peṇgaiyum - The first word must be neela-miḍarar
The line means - the hands of Shiva (who has a blue throat -neela miDaRu) and Parvati (the daughter of the great mountain - neduvarai peN)
mihadonnishai = not clear (ishai pāḍavum means singing songs/music)
tirattinōḍu - skilfully
ānaka dundubhi - a kind of big drum
tanadu sukirtamena - (considering it) "my good fortune or merit"
vikirtamiḍa - with variations
adir peruga - while the vibrations increase
tikurtam ena - with jatis like "tikurtam"

@Rajani , thank you so much! I'm wondering if miha miha tonniSai is "very very old music"...?

@rshankar , it's a composition of Oothukadu Venkata Subbaiyyar that was also discussed tangentially here many years ago as a potential precursor to an opera on praNavOpadEsa.
